Your specialists in fire resistant glass, based on quality from British & Worldwide regulatory standards to ensure you’re receiving optimum products for your projects and customers.
Our independent status gives us the flexibility to specify the best available product for your project. All of our fire rated products can be combined into glazed units, in-house, to give added benefits such as acoustic enhancement or to offer thermal ratings for external application. See our FR+ IGU page for more info.
Regulations from Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) where building work, repair or replacement has its own set of legislation in terms of frame and glazing, with local councils cracking down on these ‘breaches’ where risk of injury can occur due to unsafe glass. They will recommend a minimum fire rating requirement to suit the application. Architects are specifying fire safety ratings, or even brand-names of glass; this is where we are able to provide the exact glass or like-for-like equivalents in most cases.
Fire resistant glass is a specialist product, having an altered construction and offering proven levels of protection against fire when glazed into approved framework. We stock an excellent range of products, offering up to 120/120 integrity and insulation, and up to 260 minutes integrity only, as well as the more mainstream clear and wired products for everyday use. Our range includes SCHOTT’S PYRANOVA®, AGC’s PYROBEL/PROBELite®, Pyroguard® and the ever popular Fireswiss Cool and Fireswiss Foam, all suitable for varied construction applications.
We also stock Ceramic, and Lead equivalent glasses for specialist environments such as log burning stoves and furnace fires.
Fire resistant glass plays a vital role in keeping us safe and with the increase in public knowledge, the demand is increasing. Not solely due to its integrity but also due to insulation and radiation control properties, fire glass has now become a requisite on many building applications for healthcare and education sectors, as well as architectural demands and ‘eco’ building projects alike.
Honest Feedback – Since I started to deal with PGP from my initial contact to present day I can honestly say that the above scores are not inflated. Whenever I phone and ask for something urgent (which is often) they are always accommodating – I’ve been to their offices to pick up product and the guys in the warehouse are so helpful. Louise is a delight and Steve – who is really busy – always has time to call back with help and advice. Highly recommended.Damian – Noberne Doors
